Safety & quality

Safety is not a policy document. It is how we work.

Our approach

How safety runs through everything we do

Site safety standards

Every Synkit site operates with documented HSE procedures. PPE requirements, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and incident reporting are mandatory, not optional. We hold ourselves to these standards regardless of project size.

Installation quality control

Every installation follows a defined quality control process: pre-installation checks, installation supervision, testing, commissioning, and handover documentation. Nothing is handed over until it is tested and documented.

Maintenance documentation

Every maintenance visit produces a documented service report. Inspection findings, work completed, parts replaced, and recommendations for follow-up are recorded. These records keep your building inspection-ready and give your facility manager a clear audit trail.

Emergency response protocols

For elevator entrapments and critical system failures, we have defined response protocols: call acknowledgement, estimated arrival time, on-site rescue or repair, incident documentation, and root-cause follow-up. We do not just fix the fault, we find out why it happened.

Continuous training

Our engineers and technicians undergo manufacturer training on CANNY and FUJI systems, safety procedure refreshers, and practical skills development. Technical competence is not something we claim once, it is something we maintain.

The Lagos compliance landscape

Lagos now enforces mandatory registration and safety certification for elevators and vertical transportation equipment. The Lagos State Safety Commission has moved beyond warnings to sealing non-compliant properties, including buildings in Lekki and Ikeja.

This followed well-publicised incidents: residents trapped in a Banana Island elevator for over an hour in 2026, and the 2023 General Hospital Odan lift crash. The enforcement climate means elevator maintenance is no longer a quiet back-office issue, it is a regulatory and reputational risk.

For building owners, developers, and facility managers, this creates a clear need: you need a maintenance partner who keeps your equipment compliant, your records auditable, and your building open.

How we help you stay compliant

  • Elevator registration and certification support
  • Maintenance records that meet inspection requirements
  • Corrective work before inspections, not after notices
  • Documentation packages for your compliance team
  • Emergency response records and incident reporting
  • Modernisation recommendations for non-compliant equipment
